Bossa Nova, Brazil, Samba … Gal Costa and Caetano Veloso made their debut in 1965, each recording a single, when the head of the Philips label decided to release an album featuring the two young artists. Produced by Dori Caymmi and arranged by Francis Hime and Roberto Menescal, the new repertoire brought a breath of fresh air to the new Brazilian music scene.
