Acclaimed guitarist Julian Lage had long dreamed of recording a project with esteemed drummer Joey Baron and bassist Jorge Roeder. In March 2026, Lage brought the trio into the Village Vanguard for an engagement at the legendary club, and Lage decided to head straight into the studio to document how the music had evolved.
