Description
The Technics SL-1210 MKX is the new professional direct-drive turntable from the 1200 series. The coreless, brushless motor eliminates the micro-vibrations caused by the reversal of the magnetic poles, resulting in more precise torque, a cleaner sound and high reliability.
Compared to the MK7, it offers greater control. You can adjust the turntable’s start and stop speeds, the tracking force, the direction of rotation (reverse) and the colour of the strobe light – blue or red. The pitch can be set to ±4%, ±8%, ±16% or ±50%, with instant reset.
The improved aluminium S-shaped tonearm is height-adjustable and statically balanced, with a polished silver finish on an all-black body. The gimbal suspension keeps the cartridge stable even under demanding conditions, whilst the anti-glare LED light illuminates the stylus even in dark rooms. The chassis combines die-cast aluminium and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic; the new isolating feet can withstand high sound pressure levels.
The package includes the shell, lid, connection and ground cables, a mat and a 45 rpm centring ring. The cartridge is not included.
