Folk, Post Rock … Furia is a collection of influences that would emerge decades later in the wyrd folk movement, and Furia is not out of place at an intersection of Devendra Banhart and Meg Baird, but there was absolutely nothing like it in 1986. Upon release, Mark E. Smith famously likened it to Third Ear Band, having to dip back to 1970 for a touchstone.
