Music producer Jerry Goldstein originally recorded the album from within the walls of Folsom State Prison where Ike was serving a life sentence, and where the musical prodigy spent his time writing and performing alongside fellow inmates. His advocates and fans include the likes of Stevie Wonder and Snoop Dogg.
